Deleting your account
Delete your account from the bottom of your Account page. Nothing is erased for 30 days, and if you sign in during that time and choose Keep my account, it is restored.
Before you delete
You may want a copy of your records first. On your Account page, under Your data, tap Download my data. You get one file with everything you have recorded here, and your photos.
Delete your account
- Open your Account page from the avatar menu or from More.
- Under Delete, tap Delete account….
- Read the page. It lists what is erased and what is kept, line by line.
- Tap Delete my account. If you signed in more than a few minutes ago, you are asked to sign in again first.
Changed your mind on that page? Tap Cancel.
What happens straight away
- Your account stops recording training, and every page shows the date the deletion takes effect.
- Your other devices are signed out.
- If you have a coach, the coaching ends and your coach can no longer see anything of yours.
- If you have a subscription, it is canceled at the payment processor. If the processor cannot be reached, your Account page tells you to write to support, and it is canceled by hand.
Changing your mind
Sign in within the 30 days and tap Keep my account. Your account comes back as it was, except that the coaching and the subscription stay ended.
What is erased after 30 days
- the link to your sign-in, so nothing can sign in as you again,
- your name, profile photo, date of birth and movement limitations,
- the names you gave the places you train,
- every progress photo file,
- your conversations with Eve,
- the link to your record at the payment processor,
- every signed-in device.
Your email address is replaced by a scrambled form that cannot be turned back into the address. It is kept only so that, if you write to ask, your record can be matched to the address you give.
What is kept, and why
- Your training record, with your name removed: workouts, sessions, check-ins, measurements, health question answers, and the decisions about your plan. It is the evidence of how each decision was made, and it is never rewritten.
- What you agreed to: which terms, privacy policy and coaching consent you agreed to, and when.
The notes you typed inside that record, and the text of your messages, are also kept for now, and no page shows them once your account is erased. A coach sees each of your messages to them as "Message removed." Erasing this text too is planned.
A deleted account can remain in a backup for up to 90 days after it is erased. Nobody reads backups, and if one is ever restored, the erasure runs again. The payment processor keeps its own records of your payments.
